It’s a beautiful place where you can grieve and the comfort of having your loved one above ground and indoors is such a comfort .Posted on Janet DriscollTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Having never left a review before, I am compelled to write about my experience at Brightwater Memorial Park. My sister and I have, over many years, supported one another in our various endeavours to remember our much loved parents, attending together the resting place of our beloved mum and dad at a traditional cemetery to mark anniversaries and birthdays, placing flowers, cutting back overgrown grass, cleaning, weeding, the list goes on. The experience has always been harrowing and depressing for one reason or another, usually wind, rain, icy cold or, on one occasion, the stealing of my handbag to battle! Suffice to say, we rarely took much comfort from the experience of remembrance. Being able to attend together made each episode bearable. I lost my dear sister last year and I am unable to express the comfort and relief I feel following the placement of her ashes at Brightwater Memorial Park. There is simply no comparison. Remembering her and dealing with the grief we feel as a family has been an entirely different process to the dread we have felt at having to attend the traditional cemetery to visit my parents. Brightwater is a bright, warm, safe and welcoming space, where you are able to concentrate wholly on remembering your loved one and all the precious memories associated with them. When I arrived at Brightwater, parking was easy. I was greeted warmly by the lovely and professional Jo, who provided refreshments and guided me into the beautifully appointed room of remembrance, where our family photos flicked across screens and my sister’s favourite music played quietly. Jo took my flowers and placed them for me while I relaxed in the comfort of a sofa and was able to spend time just remembering and feeling close to my much loved and missed sister. Brightwater reinvents the process of grieving and coming to terms with the loss of a loved one. It removes the feeling of dread experienced attending a traditional cemetery or garden of remembrance and transports you to civilised, comfortable and warm surroundings which are, in a way, difficult to leave, because Brightwater succeeds so well in enabling you to connect so effectively with the one you have lost. Nothing makes grief easy or tolerable, but having my sister’s ashes placed at Brightwater gives my family and I a comfort we are unable to express. I believe that’s why my sister chose it. It was for us. xxPosted on nastya mexTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Very good memorial park. The park is a very cozy place where you can hear birds singing. The territory of the park is clean and tidy.Posted on nicky EdwardsTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I wish their were more than 5 stars to rate Brightwater Memorial park as they certainly deserve more. My mum moved into her new home on 16th October 2024. From the first time that we viewed Brightwater we knew this is where mum needed to be. Jackie and Bill greeted us at the entrance by name, and it felt from that moment that we had known them for sometime not that it was the first time that we were meeting them. Their caring nature continued on evey visit and there has been many. Jackie even remembers what hot drinks we like and who takes sugar. Brightwater is a beautiful place amazing gardens and my mum having been a member of RHS and visiting Chelsea flower show every year this was perfect for her. I know she is happy in her new home, and with Jackie and Bill taking exceptional care of her we have nothing to worry about. My mum is in a family vault as my Dad was so blown away with Brightwater he decided that is where he wants to go. Christmas without mum for the first time was undoubtedly going to be difficult but Jackie and Bill with their caring nature made it painless. I cant thank them enough for looking after mum and my family on our visits. I would recommend Brightwater Memorial Park without hesitation in fact it's where I want to be when it's time for me to move home as I know I will be well looked after in a beautiful tranquil place ❤🙂Posted on Courtney GillespieTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Such a beautiful place for your loved ones to rest. Brightwater have been entrusted with caring and assisting on the most impossible see you soon for my daughter and I couldn’t have entrusted anyone better. Both Jackie and Bill are amazing and show such compassion and care into everything they do for my daughter and also extend that on to us as a family. They helped us make my daughters send off beautiful just as she is and continue to show love and care for my daughter. Without a doubt one of the most beautiful environments and certainly does take pride in everything they do. We could not make a decision on cremation and burial and didn’t want to do either and with Brightwater as an option it set our minds at ease knowing she’s well looked after and in the most beautiful environment protected from natures elements and loved upon greatly by those who work there🤍Posted on Dinta MadlaniTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I know that everyone has written such lovely words about this place and I've got to say, it's all true. I attended the place for different reason and I really didn't know what to expect but as an Indian person and only knowing that cremation is the option for us Hindus, it opened a new world to me. Jackie and her family are so passionate and so giving that they go beyond their requirements so hats off to them and so I hope this country recognises what a great option this place can be especially for somebody to isn't ready to let their dearest go. Bless you Brightwater for being there!Posted on Raymond JonesTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Brightwater Memorial Park is the resting place of my best friend. I am so happy that his family chose such a dignified place to rest this special gentleman. The privacy, attention to detail and added personal touches are exceptionally helpful in remembering our loved one, and also aiding in coping with the traumatic grieving process that we are going through. I am so grateful that my friend has been laid to rest here. He deserved the best, and has truly been given the best by Brightwater Memorial Park.Posted on Sharon chaseTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I visited Brightwater Memorial Park on a sunny day to be a part of a close friend's internment. I didn't know what to expect but what I experienced was outstanding in every sense... the grounds are exceptionally calm and inviting, the owners were the perfect hosts and their attention to detail and ability to personalise the whole experience was second-to-none. Bill and Jackie are the perfect hosts and have obviously have given a lot of thought into the memorial park and have made it the best place to leave your loved ones in the knowledge that they will be taken care of, respected and are resting in perfect surroundings. I have to admit I had a lot of questions surrounding interments, mausoleums and the whole 'housing' process and left feeling educated and enthused about service being provided. Who knew you could be buried above ground in the UK? I believe this is the first such service and can only say I would give it 100% five stars. Anyone unsure of where to leave their loved ones in a place where visiting is personalised where videos and favourite play lists can be playing on arrival, and can book your own private visiting timeslots... the services on offer are truly unique and it is without a doubt, somewhere that everyone should take a look at and explore as a beautiful option for a final resting place. I can only hope that Bill and Jackie expand on this and are able to offer this service to others around the country as right now, Brightwater Orpington is a very beautiful and exclusive place to be laid to rest.
