We have been fortunate to have had several established and influential industry professionals visit us at Brightwater. One such visitor whose opinion we greatly respect is that of the President of the National Association of Funeral Directors, John Adams.
John, who also owns and operates Perry and Philips Funeral Directors based in Bridge North, Shropshire, is currently petitioning to add content on bereavement and loss to the National School Curriculum and we are delighted to hear that he has already exceeded his initial goal of 10,000 signatures which not only proves the need for change but will also ensure a response is received from the Government. We would also like to congratulate John on his recent appointment as Funeral Industry Advisor to Child Bereavement UK. Both incredible achievements we are sure you will agree,
When John came to visit us at Brightwater he was very interested in the unique ways in which we are able to help families on their own individual bereavement journeys. This help includes not only taking the much needed aftercare of the bereaved to the next level but also the possible provision of financial support to our families through the Children’s Funeral Fund.
If you would like to find out more about the ways in which we care for our families, especially those affected by child bereavement, please take a look at our Children’s page, or give us a call to discuss.
Equally, there is still time to sign John’s above-mentioned petition, so please head over to the UK Petitions website if you would like to get involved.
